A new organics recycling drop-off is coming to Bloomington! The newest site, located in the parking lot at Wright's Lake Park (8501 17th Ave. S.) will be open during regular park hours. Any Minnesota resident may sign up for free to bring bagged food scraps and compostable items from their home. Bloomington residents that sign up will receive a welcome kit by mail.

The new drop-off will feature a roof, user door for easy access, and solar lighting. This new enclosure design is made possible by Hennepin County grant funds.

Mark your calendar and join us for a grand opening celebration on Saturday, November 14th, 2026 from 9 to 11 a.m. at the park. The event is free and open to all Bloomington residents. We hope to see you there!
