Planning Application Portal Search - Access the public application portal to view development applications, associated documents, and project materials. The portal allows you to search for applications by Project Number, project name or address. If location services are enabled in your browser, you may also view applications and development activity near your location.
2026 PC Development Submittal Schedule - This document includes application deadlines, projected Planning Commission hearing dates, and anticipated City Council review dates (if applicable). All development applications are required to first be reviewed by the Development Review Committee (DRC) as a Pre-Application DRC item prior to formal submittal. Pre-Application DRC review may be completed at any scheduled DRC meeting date prior to the applicable application deadline. Users can use the linked schedule to plan submittals, track review timelines, and understand when a project may be scheduled for public hearing and consideration.
A development application is required for any development, redevelopment or additions to existing development and any changes to the current zoning of a parcel. Please review the development application, application checklists, fee schedule and submission deadlines prior to submitting an application.

Chapter 21: Zoning and Land Use - Access the City's zoning regulations, which explain how land and buildings may be used and developed. This includes information on zoning districts, allowed uses, building standards, parking, signs, landscaping, and other development requirements.
The Planning Division guides Bloomington's future land use direction through long range plans and zoning controls. The division reviews and prepares recommendations on applications for development, rezoning, use permits and variances and works closely with the Planning Commission.
