Sections

Greetings from Mayor Tim Busse

Tim Busse

Welcome to Bloomington! This is a vibrant city and a great place to live. Our mission is “To cultivate an enduring and remarkable community where people want to be.” If any city can achieve this aspirational goal, Bloomington can. We are so glad you have chosen to be a part of this community.

Fun recreation programs, beautiful parks, more than 9,000 acres of green space, safe neighborhoods, public art and high-quality services are much of what Bloomington has to offer. According to the 2023 National Community Survey™, 88% of residents called Bloomington an excellent or good place to live and highly rated public safety services.
