Curious about pickleball? This program is designed especially for beginners. 

We’ll walk you through the basics so you can feel comfortable and confident on the court. No prior experience needed, just come ready to try something new and enjoy the game!

  • Where: Westwood Park, 3490 W. 109th St.
    • Pickleball courts are located in the northeast portion of the park.
  • Cost: FREE!
  • Registration: Required and accepted until event is full.
    • For adults 50 years of age and above.
    • Space is limited to 16 participants on a first come, first served basis.
    • Sign up online at Webtrac.

Join us for this educational event to learn how employers can celebrate the value and talents of individuals with disabilities in the workplace.  Learn the history of disability employment, dive into current issues and resources, and hear stories from employers and employees.

Enjoy a FREE all-levels yoga class at scenic Bush Lake Beach!

Led by Judy Coughlin, a certified yoga instructor and personal trainer with over 20 years of experience, the sessions will incorporate:

  • Hatha and Vinyasa flow styles
  • Centering and breathwork
  • Restorative poses 

Yoga helps you reduce stress, gain strength, and improve balance and flexibility. Many modifications will be offered for participants of all levels. Please bring your own mat. 

  • When: Saturdays, September 6, 13, 20 and 27. 10 - 11 a.m.
  • Where: Grass area north of Bush Lake Beach.

  • Did you know Rev. Pond built very unusual coffins?

Create a buffalo bone hairpipe bead lanyard to take home at this free program led by Lakota Bead Artist Carol Charging Thunder. 

Carol has been beading for over 50 years. Her work has been exhibited at the Tweed Museum of Art in Duluth and was featured in an art exhibit developed by All My Relations Arts.
