Pond Dakota Winter History Festival 2022

Snowshoe with a naturalist during the 2026 Winter History Festival at the historic Pond House inside Pond Dakota Mission Park. 

Enjoy one of two guided snowshoe walks in the Minnesota River Valley. Each hike is approximately 1 hour in length.  

Use our snowshoes (limited quantities) or bring your own.  

  • Participants should be prepared for moderate activity level.
  • Trail conditions will depend on the amount of snow accumulation.
  • Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and temperature. Warm, waterproof shoes are highly recommended. 

Location: Historic Pond House, 401 E. 104th St.
Date: February 7, 2026 
Time: Hike 1: 11:30 a.m. | Hike 2: 1:30 p.m. 
Registration: None required. However, participants must be present at least 15 minutes before each hike for snowshoe fitting. 
Fee: FREE!
