Experience winter's beauty at Pond Dakota Mission Park and the Historic Pond House, 401 E. 104th Street, during the 18th Annual Winter History Festival on February 7, 2026. 

Attendees will have the opportunity to: 

  • Play outdoor games like Fox and Geese in the snow.
  • Learn how to use snowshoes and take a naturalist-guided snowshoe walk in the river valley.
    • Snowshoes will be provided.
  • Warm up by the Pond House fireplace and see ways leather was utilized by early settlers and the tools they used to make what they needed.
    • Stamp your own leather key fob to take home!

This is a free event, open to all as part of Winter Fete. No registration required.

Limited free parking is available in the Pond Dakota Mission Park lot. Additional free parking available at the adjacent Emmanuel Lutheran Church.
