In December, after a year of public input and discussions, the City Council approved a new parking ramp licensing ordinance aimed at improving public safety and infrastructure maintenance.
Beginning in 2026, parking ramps more than five years old will need to undergo regular monitoring and meet licensing standards.
Well-maintained ramps are essential for safe and reliable vehicle storage. This ordinance supports:

Maintenance awareness. Licensing encourages property owners to stay on top of repairs and meet State Building Code standards.
