Small Business Center
The City of Bloomington is repurposing an existing, city-owned former fire station, to serve as a business incubator located at 2050 East 86th Street. As Bloomington becomes more diverse, access to support is increasingly important to establish an equitable ecosystem of economic opportunities across the region.
The proposed business incubator aims to strengthen our community by increasing economic mobility among underrepresented groups and enhance access to support for small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs, particularly BIPOC- and women-owned businesses, youth, and artists; and create long-lasting jobs that will benefit the city and broader region. The small business center will provide an environment where small businesses and aspiring entrepreneurs will feel welcomed and supported.
