Property tax information

The preliminary 2026 property tax levy was approved by the City Council on Sept. 8, 2025. Discussion continued through the fall and early winter. Hennepin County mailed the 2026 Truth in Taxation notices to property owners in November 2025.

Property taxes are managed and collected by Hennepin County. Property tax statements are typically mailed to property owners in March, with payments due in two installments: the first half on May 15 and the second half on October 15.
