Bloomington Welcome Meals

Learn about different cultures, enjoy delicious food and meet new people at Bloomington’s Welcome Meals. These meals will take place throughout the community in homes, churches and other public buildings such as libraries and community centers.

Sharing meals is a starting point to help build and foster relationships throughout the community. The mission of these meals is to build a feeling of community and belonging that connects people while sharing meals, culture and fun.

More than 40 community members have worked with the Human Rights Commission to arrange these events. Are you interested in joining them? The Bloomington Welcome Meals Committee is looking for individuals willing to engage with neighbors across the City, make new connections, host a meal or donate toward this project.

For more information on how to get involved contact the Human Rights Commission or fill out the webform.
