Join Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs (ACYC) for an afternoon of choral pop tunes! 

The young singers in grades 2 - 12 will perform favorite Broadway, movie and pop tunes at the Annual Fundraiser Concert & Silent Auction event to support the Angelica Cantanti Youth Choirs and honor long time director Rita Docter. 

Come hear the beautiful voices of young people and support the legacy of this outstanding youth choir program in its 44th year. 

This event features all five Angelica Choir Ensembles: Con Brio, Cantabile, Concert Choir, Treble Singers and Cantanti Singers at both concerts.

  • Date: February 23, 2025
  • Time:
    • Silent Auction bidding opens at 1 p.m. and continues between concerts in the lobby.
    • Concerts start at 2 and 4 p.m. Both shows are identical.
  • Location: Schneider Theater at Bloomington Center for the Arts
  • Guest Host: Actress Greta Grosch
  • Tickets: $41.97 for all ages and seat locations (all fees included)

Enjoy a FREE all-levels yoga class at scenic Bush Lake Beach!

Led by Judy Coughlin, a certified yoga instructor and personal trainer with over 20 years of experience, the sessions will incorporate:

  • Hatha and Vinyasa flow styles
  • Centering and breathwork
  • Restorative poses 

Yoga helps you reduce stress, gain strength, and improve balance and flexibility. Many modifications will be offered for participants of all levels. Please bring your own mat. 

  • When: Saturdays, September 7, 14, 21 and 28. 10 - 11 a.m. 
  • Where: Grass area north of Bush Lake Beach.
  • Who: All are welcome. No registration required.

This summer, join Solid Waste staff to celebrate organics recycling in the park! This family-friendly event is free and open to all Bloomington residents. Come learn about the benefits of organics recycling, plant a flower in compost, grab a free ice cream treat and play lawn games. There will also be a table where you can sign up for organics recycling and receive a free countertop kitchen pail. This kitchen pail is small and perfect for collecting food scraps in the kitchen.

The City is seeking the community’s input on amenities and other improvements in the park. Meet with City staff and consultants and provide your ideas to help develop park concept plans for further community review and feedback. 

While there, enjoy the playground, yard games and treats and buy dinner from Potter's Pasties and Pies food truck!
