Neighborhood Watch is about more than suspicious activity—it’s about people. This program brings neighbors together to look out for one another’s well-being, recognize when someone may be struggling, and know how to respond with care.

This years Neighborhood Watch event theme is Mental Health Matters. Learn about the free mental health and crisis response services offered to Bloomington residents by the Brain Health team.

Additionally, hear how the Bloomington Police Department provides compassionate support and hope to individuals and families impacted by suicide through a first of it's kind in Minnesota, LOSS (Local Outreach to Suicide Survivors) Team.

What you'll learn:

Stay active, connect and belong at the weekly Substance Open Gym! 

Available Saturdays 3 – 6 p.m. at Substance Gym, Open Gym gives community members of all ages a fun, flexible space to stay active and connect. 

What Is Open Gym?

Open Gym is designed for casual, unstructured play in a relaxed environment where participants can:

• Shoot around
• Practice skills
• Stay active
• Play informally with friends
• Move at their own pace

There are no scheduled games, leagues or team matchups during Open Gym. It's an open space for fun and activity.

Program Details

• Where: Substance Gym, 6900 W. 115th St.
• When: Saturdays, 3 - 6 p.m.
  • March 28, 2026: No Open Gym
• Who: All ages
  • Youth under 13 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. 
• Fee: $5 per participant per visit. 
  • Maximum per family: $20 per visit.
• Registration: Not required.
  • Signed liability waiver required for entry.
