The Purchasing Section coordinates most purchases of products (commodities) and services for the City of Bloomington and its departments. When Purchasing has current requests for bids, requests for proposals or requests for information, they are posted below, along with instructions for responding. Project documents are available for preview and download using the online system at

The Engineering Division coordinates most infrastructure construction projects. Engineering uses the RT Vision dashboard and ConneX to provide information about City projects in the planning stage, downloadable bidding documents and project management information.

The City of Bloomington (the “City”) is seeking written quotes for new HVAC units for the Police Department at Civic Plaza.

Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Engineer, 1700 W 98th St, Bloomington, MN 55431, up to the time of bid opening, for construction of the: 2022-103b Russell A. Sorenson Boat Landing Parking Lot Reconstruction Project


Which consists of:

1.Approximately400  cubic yards of common excavation
2.Approximately4700square yards of bituminous pavement removal
3.Approximately1400linear feet of concrete curb and gutter
4.Approximately1100tons of bituminous plant mixture
5.Approximately1600cubic yards of Class 5 aggregate base
6.Approximately2400linear feet of pavement markings
7.Approximately3900square yards of seeding


Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the South Conference Room at 1700 W 98th St at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 26, 2024.
