Shelter reservations at five Bloomington parks are now open for spring, summer and fall 2026. Park shelters are available to rent from mid-April through mid-October and provide space for family picnics, celebrations, work gatherings and other group events. Available rental locations include:

Dred Scott Playfield, 10820
Bloomington Ferry Road
Smith Park, 8155 Park Ave. S.
Valley View Playfield, 9000 Portland Ave. S.
Wright’s Lake Park, 8501 17th Ave. S.
Amenities vary by location. Reservations are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Residents are encouraged to book early to secure their preferred date. Reservations can be made online or in person at the Parks and Recreation Department on the first floor of Bloomington Civic Plaza, 1800 W. Old Shakopee Road.
