The newly renovated Bloomington Ice Garden, 3600 W. 98th St., will be unveiled Saturday, November 8, 12-5 p.m., with a grand opening celebration for the community. Activities include a free open skate from 12-1:30 p.m. followed by two free high school games featuring Jefferson Girls vs. Armstrong with junior varsity at 1 p.m. and varsity at 2:30 p.m. Mayor Tim Busse, City Manager Zach Walker and Bloomington Public Schools Assistant Superintendent Jenna Mitchler will make remarks before the junior varsity game. Minnesota artist Adam Turman, who created the new mural in the vestibule, will be at BIG from 12-2 p.m. to interact with the public and talk about the artwork.
