Craig David has been selected to create a new, site-specific sculpture for the reimagined Bryant Park, 1001 W. 85th St.
Craig's concept design is titled Cantus Mysterium – Song of Mystery. It draws on ancient stone-carving traditions and features large Minnesota stones. The piece is designed to invite visitors to pause, gather and connect with the natural landscape. It includes an equinox alignment that connects the piece to our seasons and place. We invite the community to an open house to provide input on the final design. Meet the artist and provide nature-themed ideas that you would like to see carved as imagery into the stones. Examples could include flora, fauna, plants, and animals such as birds and turtles.
