Winter recreation activities are a great way to cure your cabin fever! 

Join a naturalist for a winter fat bike ride on the Minnesota River Bottoms Trail. This group ride will feature various stops for naturalist interpretation and time to enjoy the winter scenery.

The ride will be a maximum of five miles on dirt or snowy trails. The trail is winding and relatively flat, with some short downhill and uphill sections suitable for most beginners. Please note there are no water stations or restrooms on-site.

  • A limited number of fat bikes and helmets will be provided. Participants are welcome to bring your own.
  • Participants are required to wear helmets.
  • When registering, indicate the bike size you will likely need based on the heights listed.

Location: Meet at the Minnesota River Bottoms Lyndale Avenue Lot, 11115 Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55420. 
Registration: Required. Register on Webtrac.  
Fee: $7.50 per person
What to bring: 
- Water bottle (bottles 24oz or smaller will fit in the bike bottle holders).
- Appropriate shoes and clothing.
- Backpack, if you wish to carry anything else with you.
