Enjoy a story of symbiosis: the relationship of Freddy Fungus and Alice Algae, who met and took a "lichen" to each other.

Join Naturalist Pauline Bold to discover the symbiotic relationship of lichens as we explore along Nine Mile Creek below Moir Park.

  • How many species of lichen do you think there are?
  • How long have they been on earth?
  • What is their purpose on the planet?

Meet by the playground and dress for walking. Free program. No registration required. All ages welcome.

Presented as part of the Naturalist Programs series. Occurs weather permitting. Check the status of events during inclement weather by calling 952-563-8878 or visiting the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
