Trees with no leaves

Join naturalist Gael Zembal and learn how to identify common Minnesota trees in Marsh Lake Park using more than just leaves.

Since most Minnesota trees lose their leaves in winter, you’ll learn about bark, twigs, and growth patterns as ways to identify them.

This will be a slow hike through the forest.

Meet the Naturalist at the north end of the Bloomington Ice Garden parking lot for entrance into Marsh Lake Park.

  • Hike begins promptly at 2 p.m.
  • No registration required.
  • Limit 20 participants on a first come, first served basis.

This free program is geared towards families and adults and will occur weather permitting. Check the status of events during inclement weather by calling 952-563-8878 or visiting the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
