Join us for a morning bird walk with Rob Daves, an experienced birder and Minnesota naturalist who is very familiar with Marsh Lake Park.

Start with bird basics, including how to use binoculars, then focus on bird identification using sight, sound and habitat and learn more about the natural history of the area.

  • Bring binoculars and a field guide if you have them, plus a filled water bottle.
  • All experience levels are welcome—no prior birding knowledge required!
  • Meet at 8 a.m. in the south end of the parking lot at Hillcrest Elementary School, 9301 Thomas Rd.
    • Group will then walk to the east side of Marsh Lake Park together.
  • Free program. No registration required. All ages welcome.

Presented as part of the Naturalist Programs series. Occurs weather permitting. Check the status of events during inclement weather by calling 952-563-8878 or visiting the Parks and Recreation Facebook page.
