Another summer of adventure, friendship and lifetime memories has wrapped up at Bush Lake Beach as Camp Kota celebrated one of its most successful seasons in recent years. Nearly 200 campers attended each of the four weeklong sessions in July, marking the program's highest enrollment since 2015.
For generations, Bloomington families have made Camp Kota a cherished summer tradition. This year, campers in kindergarten through seventh grade spent their days swimming, paddleboarding, trying archery, learning outdoor skills, singing camp songs and testing their balance on the key log.
One of the most anticipated experiences was the overnight campout, complete with a family picnic and evening program before campers settled into tents under the stars.
For more than 50 years, Camp Kota has helped create unforgettable summer memories close to home. Camp staff want to thank all the families, participants and volunteers who made this season such a success.
