Memorial benches have been installed in Bloomington parks through the years and now, due to construction for the Nine Mile Creek corridor renewal project starting soon, approximately 30 benches in Moir and Central Park must be removed.
Bench removal will start April 1 to make way for renovations to begin.
The City is asking for help reaching memorial bench donors. If you donated a bench that was installed near Nine Mile Creek, or you know someone who did, email forward@BloomingtonMN.gov for information on how to reclaim your donation or learn about other options to secure a new bench.
