During National Hispanic Heritage Month, discover the vibrant public art that adds color, culture and creativity to Bloomington. Created by Hispanic and Latino artists, these works celebrate identity, nature, and the diverse stories that make our community unique.
Look for the WE Mural featuring art by Peruvian-born artist Andrés Guzmán at American Boulevard and 30th Avenue South; Evening Primrose mural by Argentinian artist Mariela Ajras; and Kalopsia, a mosaic bench by Argentinian artist Daniela Bianchini inspired by Long Meadow Lake, both at 8061 33rd Ave. S. Bloomington resident and Mexican artist José Manuel Rebollo Arredondo designed Elements of Minnesota, Huichol Style, an Artbox that blends Minnesota wildlife with traditional Huichol art.
Visitors can also enjoy a community mural created by Pablo Kalaka and Daniela Bianchini at the Minnesota Valley National Wildlife Refuge Visitor Center, 3815 American Blvd. S.
