West Old Shakopee Road closing July 27 for weeklong railroad reconstruction

On Monday, July 27, Hennepin County will close West Old Shakopee Road (County Road 1) just east of Hampshire Avenue in Bloomington. The weeklong closure is necessary so that the railroad crossing can be reconstructed.

Traffic will be detoured to Normandale Boulevard, I-494, and East Bush Lake Road. The sidewalks on both the north and south side of the road will also be closed.

Work is scheduled to be complete on Friday, July 31. The closure is being coordinated with the railroads and is weather dependent.
