The City of Bloomington will host a groundbreaking celebration to mark the start of construction for the Nine Mile Creek Corridor renewal project and the Bloomington Veterans Memorial.

When: Tuesday, May 5, 4:30 - 6 p.m.
Where: Moir Park, 10320 Morgan Ave. S.

Staff, elected officials and Bloomington Remembers Veterans’ representatives who can speak to each project as well as renderings of what each project could look like when complete will be available on-site. Photos and video of the groundbreaking ceremony will also be available by request.

About the projects

Bloomington’s first-ever Veterans Memorial is officially breaking ground. This will be the City’s first dedicated public memorial honoring veterans and military service.

The Nine Mile Creek Corridor renewal marks a major Bloomington Forward investment moving into construction. The project is part of the City’s larger effort to restore and renew the Nine Mile Creek corridor while improving long-term public access, habitat and amenities.
