Bloomington, MN — The City of Bloomington has been named a 2026 USA TODAY Top Workplaces winner, a national recognition based on feedback from employees about workplace culture, communication and organizational values.
This is the City’s second consecutive year on the national list. The City of Bloomington was also recognized as a USA TODAY Top Workplaces winner in 2025.
The City of Bloomington is one of 408 organizations in the U.S. with 500 to 999 employees to earn a place on this year’s list. The recognition is based on results from an employee survey conducted by Engergage, a survey platform used by workplaces to understand employee experiences. Organizations must reach a response rate of at least 35% to qualify. The survey provides insight into how employees view leadership, engagement and alignment with the organization’s mission.
Top Workplaces is the nation’s most widely used employer recognition program. The program partners with more than 60 news outlets, including USA TODAY, to highlight organizations that demonstrate a commitment to listening to employees and supporting workplace success. There is no cost to participate, be nominated or receive an award.
“This recognition reflects the experiences of our employees and their commitment to serving the community,” said Lauren Reynolds, Director of Equity and Workplace Culture. “Creating a workplace where people feel valued, respected and included is essential to the City’s mission. We will continue to use employee feedback to strengthen our culture and support staff across all departments.”
The City of Bloomington will continue to use survey insights to strengthen communication, support staff development and build a positive work environment.
