Come hear the story of Henry Sibley, Minnesota’s first governor. 

The Dakota County Historical Society will be here to present about Sibley’s:

  • Beginnings in the fur trade
  • Leadership at the American Fur Company headquarters in Mendota
  • Eventual path into politics. 

Learn about his lasting legacy and the history of the Sibley Historic Site.
