Celebrate the winter solstice with a guided snowshoe hike! 

Join a naturalist along the Minnesota River Bottoms trails to enjoy the daylight before the longest night of the year. 

  • Snowshoes will be provided.
  • All experience levels welcome.
  • Participants should be prepared for moderate activity level and able to travel up to 1.5 miles.
  • Trail conditions will depend on the amount of snow accumulation.
  • Please dress appropriately for the weather conditions and temperature. Warm, waterproof shoes are highly recommended.
  • Water and restrooms are not available on site. 

If there is not enough snow for snowshoeing, we will go on a guided nature walk.

Location: Meet at the Minnesota River Bottoms Lyndale Avenue Lot, 11115 Lyndale Avenue South, Bloomington, MN 55420. 

Registration: Required. Register on Webtrac

  • Limited to 15 participants on first come, first served basis.
  • Participants ages 12 and younger must be accompanied by an adult. 

Fee: $7.50 per participant
