Bloomington received nine awards from the Minnesota Association of Government Communicators 2025 Northern Lights Awards. Three of the awards were first-place honors.
In the statewide contest, the City won Northern Lights Awards (first place) for Embracing trends in City social media, Bloomington Today and the Notable Neighbor video series; and Silver Awards (second place) for the Moving Bloomington Forward Annual Report, the Bloomington Briefing newsletter, and the Nine Mile Creek Corridor Renewal: Communications and Engagement. The City also received Bronze Awards (third place) for the Discover Bloomington and State of the City 2024.
In the national 3CMA Savvy Awards contest, the City received a first-place award for Nine Mile Creek Corridor: Community Engagement and a third-place award for the Notable Neighbor video series.
