Cut your energy costs

As energy costs increase, Bloomington residents should know that they may qualify for assistance through the Energy Assistance Program (EAP). Open to both renters and homeowners, EAP may help income-eligible households cover heating costs, electric costs and furnace repairs. To learn more, visit blm.mn/energyhelp or call Community Action Partnership of Hennepin County at 952-930-3541.

Already receiving EAP? You may also qualify for the Weatherization Assistance Program, which funds home upgrades that make your space safer, healthier, and more efficient. Weatherization can lower your monthly bills, improve air quality, reduce asthma triggers, prevent structural damage and even keep rodents out.

“These programs can save residents money, and improve the health and comfort in their home,” said Sustainability Specialist
Jamila Boudlali.

Find out if your household qualifies by calling the Sustainable Resource Center at 612-870-4255 or visiting qualifytoweatherize.com.
