Bloomington Chief Equity and Inclusion Officer Lauren Reynolds accepts a 2025 GreenStep City award at the annual League of Minnesota Cities conference.
Bloomington, MN – The City of Bloomington received an award for being a Steps 4 and 5 city in the Minnesota GreenStep program. Bloomington is one of 154 participating cities and Tribal nations in the 15-year-old challenge, assistance and recognition program.
“This award shows community members and other cities across Minnesota that the City of Bloomington is taking great steps in the direction of energy and resource conservation and innovation,” said Emma Struss, environmental sustainability coordinator and GreenStep program lead with the City of Bloomington.
Bloomington has implemented best practice actions to meet its sustainability goals with support from the GreenStep program and peers. The City's actions taken within the program focus on cost savings, energy use reduction, resource conservation, climate change and the encouragement of civic innovation.
