Bids and Requests for Proposals

The Purchasing Section coordinates most purchases of products (commodities) and services for the City of Bloomington and its departments. When Purchasing has current requests for bids, requests for proposals or requests for information, they are posted below, along with instructions for responding.

The Engineering Division coordinates most infrastructure construction projects. Engineering uses the RT Vision dashboard and ConneX to provide information about City projects in the planning stage, downloadable bidding documents and project management information.

  • Invitation for Bids: 2018-301 W 106th Street Improvement Project, Request for Bids

    Sealed bids will be received at the office of the City Engineer, 1700 W 98th St, Bloomington, MN 55431, up to the time of bid opening, for construction of the:

    2018-301 W. 106th Street Improvement Project


    Which consists of: 
    1.    Approximately    14,000    cubic yards of common excavation,
    2.    Approximately    7,500    linear feet of concrete curb and gutter,
    3.    Approximately    5,100    tons of bituminous plant mixture,
    4.    Approximately    3,200    cubic yards of Class 5 aggregate base,
    5.    Approximately    23,000    square feet of 4” to 8” concrete walk or concrete median,
    6.    Approximately     3,800     linear feet of 12”-36” storm sewer,
    7.    Approximately    9,500    linear feet of pavement markings,
    8.    Exactly    1    signal system revision
    9.    Approximately    13,500    square yards of sodding/seeding,

    Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the Public Works South Conference Room at 1700 W 98th St at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 28, 2021.  WebEx or other electronic conferencing may be used in the event that the Bloomington Public Works Building is closed to the public due to public health concerns related to COVID-19.
