The Dakota call it the Drying Rice Moon. The Ojibwe Call it the Freezing Moon. The Cree call it the Migrating Moon. Today, we call it the Hunter’s Moon.

Winter is looming ahead. Birds are migrating south. It’s time for hunters to prepare for the long, cold months ahead. Join naturalist Jennan in exploring the trails around Girard Lake Park under the full moon.

Meet at the parking lot on W. 84th St. on the north side of Girard Lake.
