26-58 Trip Hazard Remedy
General Project Description:
The City of Bloomington is requesting quotations to provide a high volume sidewalk trip-hazard assessment and removal service. The work includes a detailed field survey with complete data inventory, followed by precision dry saw-cutting removal of qualifying concrete sidewalk panel offsets (“kicks”) to achieve an ADA-compliant transitions.
Survey / Assessment and Data Inventory
Vendor shall conduct a field survey of the City designated sidewalk areas. The City will provide only the geographic areas to be surveyed. The vendor is responsible for identifying, measuring, photographing, and inventorying all qualifying trip hazards and defects within those areas.
Identification criteria
• Vertical panel offsets/ kicks of ½ inch or greater, up to the maximum height of 1.5 inches while maintaining structural integrity
