Coffee. Cocoa. Pastries. BINGO. Board games. Conversation. Nature.
Join us for a relaxed morning with neighbors. Grab a cup of coffee or cocoa, enjoy a pastry, play a game, explore the refuge, or simply sit and chit chat.
Everyone is welcome, and the event is FREE. Come as you are. No registration, agenda, or expectations. Just an opportunity to spend a little time with other people.
What is a Public Living Room?
A Public Living Room is an informal space where people can connect without having to be anything other than themselves. It’s inspired by the Camerados social movement and six simple ideas:
- It’s okay to be a bit rubbish. We don’t have to be perfect.
- Don’t fix people, just be alongside them.
- To be silly is to be human.
- Mix with folks not like you.
- We can disagree respectfully.
- Ask someone who is struggling to help you.
We are looking for individuals, non-profits, or local businesses to help host future Public Living Rooms. If interested, reach out to Amanda Crombie, Equity & Inclusion Program Manager, acrombie@bloomingtonmn.gov.
