Storm Water Pond Aeration Permit
The City has an approved ordinance addressing storm water pond aeration activities.
- Storm water ponds located on private or institutional property that do not have a public storm sewer connection shall be allowed to install aeration equipment without a permit.
- Storm water ponds located on private or institutional property and that have a public storm sewer connection shall be required to obtain a storm water pond aeration permit prior to installing aeration equipment.
- Storm water ponds located on publicly owned property shall not be allowed to install aeration equipment except for locations where a DNR permit already exists for aeration year round, or for public agencies with a pond or lake management plan or other master plan, such as a Park or Natural Resource Master Plan.
The City is not participating in funding storm water pond aeration.
