I-494 bridge over the Minnesota River
Monday, March 10 - late October 2025
MnDOT is doing work on the I-494 bridge over the Minnesota River. The regional trail running parallel to WB I-494 between Pilot Knob Rd. and American Blvd. will be closed for reconstruction.

W 110th Street (between Normandale Boulevard and France Avenue)
Monday, June 2 - Tuesday, September 2, 2025 (approximately)
This private utility project will be completed with eastbound only road closures in sections- 1 block segments at a time (access to driveways will be coordinated with homeowners). The work will begin at Normandale Boulevard and progress east to France Avenue.
A marked detour will be provided that utilizes Normandale Blvd to W Old Shakopee Road to France Avenue.

Southbound Lyndale Avenue (American Boulevard - I-494 ramps)
Monday, June 23 - Monday, June 30, 2025 (approximately)
NB Lyndale Ave was previously closed in early June. SB Lyndale Ave will now be closed to allow for private utility work at 700 W American Blvd.
A marked detour will be provided.

Upcoming closures
American Boulevard (westbound) between Lyndale Avenue and REI driveway
Monday, July 7 - Monday, July 14, 2025 (approximately)
Northbound and southbound Lyndale Ave were previously closed for private utility work at 700 W American Blvd. American Blvd (westbound) will now be closed between Lyndale Ave and REI driveway for a private utility connection.
A marked detour will be provided.

France Avenue (from 90th Street to the Marsh Lake Playfields entrance)

Bridge replacement over Nine Mile Creek begins July 14th.
Hennepin County will replace a deteriorating bridge on France Avenue (County Road 17) over Nine Mile Creek in Bloomington, just north of Normandale Community College. The project is scheduled to begin July 7 and will last about 8 weeks.
A half-mile section of France Avenue, from 90th Street to the Marsh Lake Playfields entrance, will close to all traffic.
People driving will be able to access the Marsh Lake Playfields and the Bloomington Archery Range from the south, using 98th Street to reach France Avenue.
The shared-use trail on the west side of France Avenue will remain open for people who walk, bike, and roll.
The posted detour for through traffic uses I-494, Normandale Boulevard (County Road 34), and Old Shakopee Road West (County Road 1).
Work is scheduled to be complete in late August. All dates are tentative and weather dependent.
