Join the Sustainability Commission and Bloomington Park Maintenance staff in celebrating Halloween while busting invasive buckthorn along Nine Mile Creek at the 2023 Halloween Buckthorn Bust Saturday, October 28, 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at Harrison Park, 1701 West 100th Street. The buckthorn bust will take place south of the Harrison Park parking lot along a paved trail. 

Volunteer activities include cutting, pulling and hauling buckthorn. No experience is necessary. All instructions and equipment will be provided. Just bring your own work gloves, water bottle and shoes that you don’t mind getting a little bit muddy. Costumes are welcome!
