Phoebe Nguyen began making her own skincare products 25 years ago out of necessity after her baby developed hives from a bubble bath. Today, you can find the oat bath soak she developed for her child at her retail store Herbal Alchemy at Mall of America, where she offers handmade products with a therapeutic focus.
“I wanted to help other kids that were going through the same things as my children did,” she said. “Eventually, I made a lot of skincare products to help resolve certain types of issues.”
Customers from all over come to Herbal Alchemy seeking treatment for ailments from headaches to cramping
to nausea.
“I love being here in Bloomington because we get so many tourists from different parts of the country and the world,” she said.
