Bloom in Bloomington strives to support and grow a more diverse, and accessible workplace for our community by matchmaking young people with employers in local government, nonprofit, and private sectors.

Things to note

• This program requires a 40 hour work week commitment for students, including an 8 hour leadership institute for high school students.
• Employers must provide interns with all necessary work equipment to complete their assigned duties.
• Please note that we are offering two internships:
  1. An 8-week program from June 24 to August 16, 2024 (high school students, aged 16-18; minimum wage of $15/hour paid by the employer) 
  2. A 12-week program from May 27 to August 16, 2024 (youth attending college and/or living in Bloomington, aged 18-24; minimum wage of $20/hour paid by the employer) 
• The City of Bloomington will review applications, assist in the interview process and facilitate placement of interns.
