In mid-March, the City will mail 2026 estimated market value notices to property owners. When your notice arrives, review it carefully. If you have questions or concerns, contact the City’s Assessing Division as soon as possible at assessing@BloomingtonMN.gov or 952-563-8722.
Don’t wait. By the time proposed tax notices are sent in November, it’s too late to informally appeal your valuation.
A closer look at 2025 values
Overall, residential property values in Bloomington saw modest increases compared to last year. Both single-family homes and townhomes generally saw increasing values, while condos mostly saw decreasing values. These are general trends and may not reflect your specific property. Values vary based on factors such as location, size, age and condition.
Questions or concerns?
Property owners may request an informal appeal in the weeks following receipt of their valuation notice. Supporting materials, such as a recent appraisal or comparable sales, can be helpful.
Property owners will also receive their Hennepin County property tax statements in early March. To learn if you qualify for a Minnesota property tax refund, visit blm.mn/state-tax.
