Bloomington resident Stacy McIntosh has spent 30 years mastering the art of organized chaos as a stage manager. She is currently the behind-the-scenes anchor who keeps productions running smoothly at Children’s Theatre Company.
McIntosh discovered her love of theater in junior high. “A stage manager is the center of the wagon wheel,” she said. “We support all parts of a production and make sure things continue to roll down the road.”
At CTC, McIntosh thrives on fast-paced, technically complex shows and the energy of young actors. Her favorite part of the job? Working with creative people and supporting them so they can do their best work. She has watched many student actors grow into Broadway and Hollywood careers.
When she’s not working, McIntosh volunteers with Every Meal, and enjoys time with family, biking and gardening. She also decorates her Bloomington home for the holidays to spread a little magic off stage too.
