    At 8:25 p.m. on October 12, Bloomington Police responded to a traffic crash in the 9700 block of Penn Avenue. After arriving on scene they observed 3 vehicles involved and immediately rendered first aid to 2 adult males who were outside of their vehicles suffering from serious lower body injuries.     Art Gate, by sculptor Alexander Tylevich, will be installed on the property of TownePlace Suites at 2500 Lindau Lane, Bloomington MN, near the corner of 24th Avenue and Lindau Lane across from Mall of America beginning on Tuesday, October 10, 2017. This art installation is one outcome of creative placemaking efforts by the City of Bloomington in partnership with Artistry, and has served as a demonstration of working with private property owners. Learn more »

    The Bloomington Police Department is releasing security video taken during last Friday’s burglary at the Islamic Center. The video shows two suspects wearing similar masks (ape or monkey) and heavy clothing. Both suspects are carrying a duffel or shoulder bag. We are asking the public to focus on the suspect’s physical appearance, clothing, footwear, and items being carried. The larger suspect has a distinctive walk. Learn more »
