Laboratory services

The Tri-City/William Lloyd Analytical Laboratory is located in the City of Bloomington's Water Treatment Plant at 9300 Poplar Bridge Rd., Bloomington, MN 55437.

The lab is staffed from 7:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m., Monday - Friday.

The Tri-City/William Lloyd Analytical Laboratory has been providing quality testing services for decades. The laboratory originally opened in Edina in 1967 to provide testing of drinking water for the cities of Edina, St. Louis Park, and Bloomington. Through the years, as new federal, state and local standards were enacted, the laboratory continued to adapt and provide testing services to uphold the safety of these drinking water supplies.

In 2002, the laboratory relocated to Bloomington's water treatment facility. Since that time, our testing services have expanded to include a greater variety of chemical and microbiological tests. We continue to regularly monitor Edina, St. Louis Park and Bloomington's drinking water supplies for a wide variety of EPA-established contaminants.

In addition, we also provide testing services to other public water utilities around the metro area, private well owners, private water sampling companies, contractors, and other agencies or individuals with a need for chemical or bacteriological testing of water samples. Our laboratory is certified by the State of Minnesota each year to test a number of different analytes.

If you have a question or need for any of our testing services, please contact the laboratory at 952-563-4904. We will be happy to answer your questions or direct you to someone who can.
