Help keep biodiversity in Bloomington!

Buckthorn

Join Bloomington Parks and Recreation and Public Works staff and members of the Sustainability Commission to remove invasive species at Nine Mile Creek.

Volunteer activities include cutting, pulling, and hauling buckthorn. No experience is necessary. All instructions and equipment will be provided. Just bring your own work gloves, water bottle and face mask.

  • Register online using the form at the bottom of this page.
  • Meet in the parking lot of Harrison Park, 1701 W 100th Street.
  • The buckthorn bust will take place 1/4 mile south of the Harrison Park parking lot along a paved trail.
  • We look forward to seeing you there!
