Winter Fete offers a season of winter fun

Along with community partners such as Three Rivers Park District, Bloomington Parks and Recreation embraces winter’s snow and ice with a series of activities and events intended to get people outdoors. Winter Fete will take place January 9 – February 27.

“Each year we hope people will take advantage of all the activities we put on during Winter Fete and get outside and enjoy the season,” Recreation Supervisor David Benson said.

Some of the activities featured this year include an introduction to ice fishing, fat-tire bike riding, open skating, an international ski competition, an ice harvest, a luminary lantern walk around Girard Lake, 8401 France Avenue South, the citywide Winter Lights Tour and more.
