Walk with a Naturalist: Seeds of the Prairie and Forest

When

  • Saturday, September 26, 2020 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Plants have some pretty awesome adaptations to help their offspring grow and thrive.

Join local naturalists to search for different seed types in the prairie and forest and collect native seed to help establish new prairies in Bloomington...and maybe even in your own yard!

Recommended materials: long pants, gardening gloves, jars or other small containers and paper bags.

Meet at West Bush Lake Park in the prairie between Shelter #2 boat launch & Shelter #1 lower lot.

This outdoor program is part of Project P.L.A.Y. and will occur weather permitting and with proper physical distancing and other safety measures in place.  In the event of weather cancellation, notice will be provided here and on the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Facebook Page. Naturalist programs are limited to a maximum of 25 participants at one time, including staff.
