Walk with a Naturalist: Prairie Seeds

Join a local naturalist to learn about native pollinator habitat restoration efforts in Bloomington. Walk through the Xcel Corridor trail amidst restored prairie habitat, learn about the surrounding plant species and their benefit to wildlife, and collect seeds to help continue to establish native plant communities in Bloomington. 

Limit 15 people, first come, first served. Geared toward adults and families with children 12+ years old. Meet the naturalist at the corner of East 92nd Street and Park Avenue South. 

Recommended materials: Long pants, gardening gloves, and small containers (e.g. deli cups or paper bags).

This outdoor program is part of Project P.L.A.Y. and will occur weather permitting and with proper physical distancing and other safety measures in place.  In the event of weather cancellation, notice will be provided here and on the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Facebook Page
