Pop-Up Naturalist: Fall Fun and Phenology

When

  • Saturday, October 24, 2020 - 1:00pm to 4:00pm

Leaf peeping, apple picking, pumpkin carving… fall brings all sorts of changes and opportunities for both humans and wildlife in Minnesota.

Join a naturalist to explore seasonal changes (phenology) by playing the migration game and building your own phenology bingo while enjoying the park.

Learn how you can help scientists track seasonal changes to help us understand how nature is changing over time.  Sorry, this program will not include any pumpkin spice.

Show up any time during the three-hour program to learn about phenology.  Maximum 25 participants at any one time.

This free outdoor program takes place at Normandale Lake Park and is geared toward families and adults. It is presented as a part of Project P.L.A.Y. and will occur weather permitting and with proper physical distancing and other safety measures in place. In the event of weather cancellation, notice will be provided here and on the City of Bloomington Parks and Recreation Facebook Page
