Maple sugaring at Pond House

  • Sunday, March 8, 2020 - 1:30pm to 4:00pm

It's maple sugaring time!

Learn outdoors about choosing trees to tap, collecting the sap, and watch sap boiling down to make syrup.  It all takes place at historic Pond House in Pond Dakota Mission Park.

Inside, watch syrup transform into sugar, sample maple candy and make a paper makuk to take home.

Maple sugaring program runs from 2 to 4 p.m.
House tours begin at 1:30 p.m.

The Pond House is open year round on Sundays from 1:30 – 4 p.m. Admission to programs and tours is free for Pond Dakota Heritage Society members and youth through high school. Suggested donation of $2 for non-member adults.
